Someone once described photography as "taking something ordinary and making it extraordinary". That describes my photographic goals. I like to take a common subject and present it as something special. I have been taking and making photos for the past 13 years. My photographic journey started by taking photography classes at our local community college. Since those early years, I have continued my education through dozens of online photography classes. I started out by shooting film and developing the images in the chemical darkroom. I have since ventured into the world of digital photography and the digital darkroom. I love the flexibility that the world of digital photography allows. I tend to shoot travel and landscape subjects. However, all subjects that are either strong in color or graphic qualities tend to call out to me. |
